报告摘要：We propose a new method to study the orbit structure of the solvable linear groups. This has applications on the Gluck's conjecture as well as some other problems of the arithmetic conditions on the character degrees.

报告人介绍:杨勇,美国Texas州立大学,教授. 2009年在Florida大学取得数学博士学位（导师为著名群论专家A. Turull教授），其后先后在Wisconsin大学及Texas州立大学担任助理教授以及终身副教授。杨勇已与德、美、日、意、韩等多个国家的数学家有合作研究的经历和联系。自2015年9月起在重庆文理学院数学与财经学院担任科研教授，2017-2021年被选聘为重庆市巴渝学者特聘教授。2021年3月起在三峡大学数学研究中心担任特聘教授。杨勇在《Adv. Math.》，《Math. Z.》，《Israel J. Math.》，《Bull. Sci. Math.》，《Sci. China Math.》，《J. Algebra》，《J. Pure Applied Algebra》，《J. Aust. Math. Soc.》，《Proc. Amer. Math. Soc.》，《J. Group Theory》等国际著名刊物上发表论文70余篇。主要研究成果是线性群的表示及其轨道结构的刻画以及轨道结构在有限群不变量的数量关系上的应用.
